# Trading Fees

**$BLOCK contract** has built-in **buy and sell fees.** These fees help fund the ecossystem and help maintain a healthy and positive balance on the liquidity pool after launch. These fees range between 0 - 5% and are built into the contract so the max fee at anytime will be 5% and the lowest being no fee, or 0%. Fees will be set innitially by the unBlock team according to community feedback and, as time progresses it will change according to proposals through a future DAO implementation for a more democratic and decentralized decision making process.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Fees only apply when trading .**

Fees are excluded when using **uSwap.**
{% endhint %}
