# uPAY

### unBlock Finance is building a bridge between traditional payment settlers payments and DeFi. That bridge is <mark style="color:green;">**uPay**</mark> .

**What is** **uPay?**\
\
&#x20;<mark style="color:green;">**uPay**</mark> will enable users to exchange cryptocurrency for real world assets using the already available traditional payment settlers (such as VISA or MASTERCARD). Users of <mark style="color:green;">**uPay**</mark> will be able to purchase real world goods and services by liquiditing their crypto or exchange FIAT for CRYPTO to add liquidity.\
\
**What are the advantages of uPay?**\
\
Currently, there are many services available that make it easier to accept crypto payments. **uPay** will exceed in many areas. Examples:\
\
-Use any EVM compatible token with tangible backed liquidity as a payment gateway;\
-Use of smart-contracts for trustless settlements instead of a central authority;\
-Competitive low fees;\
-Fast Crypto-to-Fiat conversions through the purchase of assets;\
\
**DeFi and Traditional Finance? How so?**\
\
The unBlock Finance Team is taking a great deal of effort to understand the current limitations and regulations put in place by governments and regulating authorities related to the purchase of assets. **uPay** will comply with current legislation set for each country as It is set to launch in more crypto friendly environments at the start and expand from there.\
\
**How about regulation?**\
\
As previously stated, **uPay** will function in compliance with current regulations and legislation as to be in accordance with the law. However, we do expect central authorities to respond to our implementation later down the line, for which we are prepared for and already designing solutions.\
\
**How does uPay work?**\
\
We will provide more details in the future about the technical aspects of FIVA PAY as we continue the roadmap of Finance Valley and develop the $FIVA token. The fundamental logic of FIVA PAY is as follows:\
\
\- **Holder** has a coin backed with Liquidity as a set % of MarketCap/Liquidity in compliance with the minimum requirements of **uPay** hosted on an approved DEX ( e.g - PancakeSwap);\
\
\- **Holder** has passed **minimum KYC requirements** (this is only mandatory for purchases of assets that are require KYC by law. e.g - real estate, guns, etc…);\
\
-**Holder** has wallet connected to unBlock Finance dAPP (**Holders of $LOCK have a 50% discount on settlement fees**);\
\
-**Holder** has access to the **unBlock Card** or a **uPay** partner for fiat settlements;\
\
-**Holder** executes the transaction and the funds are frozen in the wallet through **uPay** and automatically converted to the main liquidity pair through a router (Slippage will be taken into consideration swell as price fluctuations and volatility);\
\
-**uPay** will check liquidity, contract security and other important aspects of safety during the transaction. If the coin does not meet the **uPay** requirements, the transaction will fail.\
\
-**uPay** or a settlement partner will then transfer fiat funds to settle the transaction on behalf of the holder.\
\
**unBlock Finance case studies:**\
\
We have great examples in other industries we look up to: \
\
-**Amazon E.U. Sarl\***: he Amazon E.U branch that manages to operate in the European Union and not pay/pay very little corporate tax on income via a complex distribution of associated companies and added value criteria. They use the current legislation operating in the E.U aswell the fact they are based in the USA to provide more competitive pricing and services.\
\
-**Mullvad VPN\*:** using the current legislation in Sweden and accomplishing the minimum requirements for KYC (through payments) they are able to offer almost fully anonymous VPN acquisition from purchase to the usage itself.\
\
\*Take note that Finance Valley and FIVA is not associated/sponsored with any of the companies mentioned above They are mentioned uniquely and exclusively for academic purposes.

\
\&#xNAN;**\*** **backed by tangible liquidity**
